Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Solar Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring that our solar systems are installed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission solar power systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, and other components.
• Conduct site assessments and system designs to determine optimal installation layouts.
• Troubleshoot and repair solar systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Perform regular maintenance checks and system upgrades.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and team members.
• Prepare accurate reports on installation and maintenance activities.
• Stay updated on the latest solar technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in solar installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, safety procedures, and solar system components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• EIZ registration is an added advantage.
