JOB ADVERT – STOCK CONTROLLER

Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Stock Controller. The role reports to the Production Manager and will be based in Siavonga.

Job purpose

The Stock Controller will assume the responsibility of efficiently receiving and dispatching raw materials and finished goods in accordance with Aller Aqua Zambia Limited standards and the expectations of stakeholders i.e. customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods by conducting regular stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records of stock movements.
  • Implementing stock rotation strategies and following the “First In, First Out” (FIFO) principle to ensure proper utilization of materials and prevent spoilage or expiration.
  • Coordinating the receipt of raw materials and ensuring they meet quality standards and are properly stored.
  • Overseeing the dispatch of finished feed products to customers or distribution centers cross Zambia.
  • Collaborating with quality assurance personnel to ensure that incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products meet established quality specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with production and sales teams to forecast and plan stock requirements based on customer orders and production schedules.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of stock transactions, including receipts, issuances, and transfers.
  • Generating regular reports on stock levels, stock movements and any inventory-related issues or concerns.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
  • Diploma /Degree in Accounts/Statistics/ Supply Chain/Business Management
  • At least three (3) years in a manufacturing warehouse.
