MUSIC TEACHER

Position Description

MISSIONARIES OF ST.FRANCIS DE SALES are seeking a MUSIC TEACHER  to be based at Colin B Primary School in Lusaka. The Music Teacher will teach music to the pupil at the school. Motivate pupils to learn music, singing, and play music instruments. The Music teacher should know to play and teach a number of western and traditional music instruments. He/she will also work to develop pupils’ confidence in generic skills of collaboration, communication, team work, creativity, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

1. To plan, teach and guide primary school pupils MUSIC.

2. Prepare schemes of work and weekly forecasts.

3. To keep an accurate inventory of the MUSIC INSTRUMENTS.

4. Conduct assessment of pupils.

5. Play a leading role in MUSIC related activities in the school.

6. Teach and Play Music Instruments.

Requirements:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Registered with the TCZ with a valid practicing license.
• Should know to play and teach a number of Music Instruments like Guitar, Keyboard, flute, Drums etc.
• Minimum of Diploma in MUSIC.

Reporting

The Music teacher will report to the Headteacher.
