Kutwila Media & Marketing Limited is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Large Format Machine Operator to join our high-performance production team in Lusaka.

Job Description

The Large Format Machine Operator will be responsible for running, monitoring, and maintaining large-format digital printing equipment to produce high-quality branding materials. The operator will oversee the end-to-end production process—from artwork preparation to final product finishing—ensuring accuracy, colour consistency, and timely delivery of all print jobs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large format printers (eco-solvent, UV, sublimation, or latex)
• Prepare, adjust, and optimise print-ready designs using design and RIP software
• Load and manage different print media (vinyl, PVC banners, canvas, fabric, stickers, etc.)
• Monitor print output to ensure colour accuracy, sharpness, and consistency
• Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of printing machines
• Troubleshoot machine errors and ensure minimal downtime
• Cut, laminate, mount, and finish printed materials as required
• Ensure the workspace and machines are kept clean, organised, and operational
• Maintain proper documentation of production jobs and media usage
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain Kutwila’s high-quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in large-format printing operations
• Ability to use design software (CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experienced with RIP software (such as FlexiPRINT, ONYX, Photoprint, etc.)
• Able to create, edit, and finalise print-ready designs
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Honest, sober-minded, and highly self-motivated
• Ability to work under little to no supervision
• Good communication skills and reliability
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
