The Agriculture Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering quality academic and practical programs in order to impart knowledge and skills, ensuring social and emotional development of the students at Maamba Private School.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret the syllabus correctly and prepare schemes of work and lesson plans to facilitate efficient delivery of teaching programs.

• Deliver engaging lessons in crop production, soil science, animal husbandry, and sustainable agriculture.

• Supervise practical projects such as school gardens, livestock care, and field experiments.

• Promote innovation and environmental stewardship in farming practices.

• Collaborate with staff to integrate agriculture into cross disciplinary learning.

• Mobilization and timely provision of teaching/learning material in order to enhance imparting of knowledge.

• Undertake timely preparation of teaching records in order to assess coverage of the syllabus.

• Adequate assessment of the learners and preparation of progress reports.

• Effectively supervise the students in classroom in order to enhance learning environment.

• Ensure protection and safety of all learners.

Experience and Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ levels Credit or better

• Must be a Degree holder from recognized University.

• Registered with Teaching Council of Zambia – TCZ

• Must be computer literate

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher of Agriculture Science.
