Job Description:
The successful applicant will be reporting to the Transport Officer. The applicant is expected to ensure that institutional vehicles are always fuelled and ready for use, he/she must arrange for vehicle repairs as needed, keep mileage records up to date. Carry out minor repairs to institutional vehicles. Additional responsibilities include the following:
• To drive University vehicles.
• Transport University staff to assignments as directed:
• Pick up and dropping off post, other packages, purchases or parcels:
• Maintain the vehicle to the satisfactory standards acceptable to the University
• Check and carry out routine maintenance to ensure that the vehicle is in good working order for use by the University stall
• Any other duties assigned by the Transport Officer from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be in possession of craft certificate in vehicle mechanics Must have a valid Class CE/PSV SADC driver’s licence,
• At least three (3) years relevant work experience in driving heavy/day vehicles/buses
• Good Communication and report writing skills.
