Job Description

Description

  • Clean and maintain the kiln inlet to ensure optimal operations and to prevent disruptions in the clinker production process.
  • Conduct routine process checks at kiln inlet and riser to ensure that there are no blockages/build-ups.
  • Inspect the pre-heater cyclones on a daily basis and seal off false air as required.
  • Inspect and ensure that the kiln inlet and cyclone are cleaned regularly.
  • Participate in the kiln manual light-up, heating process and shutting-down process.
  • Clean the kiln ID fans impeller to prevent build-ups and engage in housekeeping at the kiln platform, kiln inlet and oil preconditioning rooms.
  • Liaise with Kiln Patrollers to ensure optimization of kiln operations.

 

Requirements

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or its equivalent in any discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of the cement production process
  • Good knowledge of kiln processes, parts and their functions
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Good communication skills
