(August 2026)

 

Position: RECEPTIONIST

The International School of Lusaka (ISL) is seeking to recruit a professional, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our administrative team.

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for parents, students, staff, and visitors and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.

  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems.

  • Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.

  • Respond to general enquiries from parents, staff, and visitors.

  • Provide administrative support to various departments as required.

  • Support school events and other administrative activities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a receptionist, front office, or customer service role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail, and Forms) and the ability to work effectively in a cloud-based collaborative environment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

  • Experience working in a school or international environment will be an added advantage.
