Job Description
We are seeking a competent local Laboratory Manager to take charge of overall laboratory operation, team management, quality control and liaison work with supervision authorities. The candidate shall ensure all testing work complies with local standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily laboratory operations, arrange work tasks for the team, and complete performance management and staff training;
Oversee the whole laboratory workflow, including sample receiving, testing, data recording, report compilation and review;
Ensure all testing activities strictly follow SANS, ZS and other Southern African testing standards, and cooperate fully with RDA supervision work;
Manage laboratory instruments, reagents and consumables, implement regular equipment calibration, maintenance and inventory management;
Establish and optimize work SOPs, implement quality control and risk management, guarantee the accuracy and traceability of test results.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in related disciplines;
Professional Certificate: Possess a valid EIZ certificate;
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant laboratory working experience, with 2–3 years of supervisor/manager experience, having managed a team of over 10 employees;
Professional Knowledge: In-depth understanding of SANS, ZS regional testing standards and RDA supervision procedures;
Practical Skills: Skilled in all procedures of laboratory operation, familiar with testing methods, quality control systems and equipment operation & maintenance;
Other Requirements: Fluent in oral and written English, strong communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
