VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: TRAINING SPECIALIST – PROCESS BACK-END

Reporting to the Senior Training Specialist – back end, you will be responsible for for developing, delivering, and supporting competency-based training programs for all back-end process operations. This includes Flotation, Thickening, Filtration, Concentrate Handling, Tailings Management, and associated plant infrastructure.  

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Deliver structured classroom, practical, and on-the-job training for Back-End operations
• Work closely with Metallurgists, Control Room Operators, and Production Supervisors to identify operational performance challenges in Back-End circuits
• Support improvement initiatives related to recovery, reagent optimisation, filter performance, and tailings stability.
• Conduct field task observations to ensure correct operational techniques and compliance to critical controls
• Support the Senior Training Specialist in producing continuous improvement training content
• Assist in developing and updating training manuals, SOPs, flow diagrams, competency standards, and assessment tools

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

• G12 Certificate
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma in Training & Assessment, Training & Development, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Back-End process plant operations
• Experience in a training or coaching role is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of metallurgical processes, chemical dosing, and plant performance metrics
• Valid Light Vehicle Licence.
