Job Title : Training Coordinator
Reports To :
 Future Leaders Programmes Manager

Core Purpose

This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering effective training programs that align with the Skills Hub’s objectives, while supporting trainees to successfully transition into workplace attachments and employment opportunities. It involves planning and organizing training activities, collaborating with trainers and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery, and building strong partnerships with industry players. The role also supports trainees throughout their learning journey, manages placement into workplace attachments, maintains accurate records and reporting, and drives continuous improvement of training programs.

Volunteer opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  1. Program Coordination:

    • Plan, schedule, and organize training sessions in alignment with the Skills Hub’s objectives.

    • Collaborate with trainers, facilitators, and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality program delivery.

  2. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work closely with the Curriculums Development Manager to align training activities with curriculum objectives.

    • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, employers, and other stakeholders to facilitate workplace attachments.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for trainees, trainers, and external partners.

  3. Trainee Support and Placement:

    • Develop and implement a process for matching trainees with relevant attachment opportunities.

    • Support trainees during the attachment process by addressing concerns, providing guidance, and ensuring a positive experience.

    • Track and report on trainee progress and outcomes post-training.

  4. Administrative Oversight:

    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, trainee performance, and attachment placements.

    • Prepare reports for the Curriculums Development Manager and other stakeholders as needed.

    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards for training programs.

  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Gather feedback from trainees, trainers, and employers to enhance program effectiveness.

    • Stay updated on trends and best practices in training coordination and workforce development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Educational Resources
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training coordination, workforce development, or a similar role.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant tools for training coordination.

  • Experience in facilitating workplace attachments or internships is highly desirable.

Core Purpose

The Social & Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for leading Pestalozzi Zambia’s engagement with communities, parents, and stakeholders to strengthen the impact of both the Skills Hub and the Future Leaders Programme (FLP). The coordinator ensures effective community mobilization, transparent student selection, parent collaboration, and strong stakeholder partnerships. By acting as a bridge between programmes and communities, the coordinator fosters inclusion, trust, and visibility for Pestalozzi Zambia while ensuring interventions remain relevant and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Parent Collaboration

  • Conduct structured outreach campaigns to raise awareness of Skills Hub and FLP in target communities.

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community leaders to ensure meaningful programme participation.

  • Organize sensitization meetings, workshops, and focus groups to inform, consult, and engage communities.

  • Facilitate regular parent/community feedback sessions to strengthen programme accountability and trust.

Programme Selection & Recruitment

  • Serve as a core member of the Selection Teams for Skills Hub and FLP students.

  • Coordinate parent/community participation in student selection and onboarding processes.

  • Ensure recruitment processes are transparent, inclusive, and aligned with Pestalozzi’s ethos and values.

Stakeholder Relations & Representation

  • Collaborate with youth groups, CSOs, and government offices to extend programme visibility and support.

  • Represent Pestalozzi Zambia at community platforms, forums, and stakeholder events.

  • Build and maintain partnerships that strengthen programme delivery and community impact.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Work with the Data Management Officer (Monitoring) to track outreach efforts, participation rates, and social impact.

  • Collect and share success stories, community insights, and case studies with the programmes and communications (Media) teams.

  • Prepare timely reports on outreach, stakeholder relations, and parent/community engagement activities.

Advocacy & Promotion

  • Represent Pestalozzi Zambia at community events, advocacy forums, and public platforms.

  • Support promotion of Skills Hub and FLP activities by sharing stories of change and programme successes.

  • Contribute to Pestalozzi Zambia’s visibility and reputation through community-cantered communication.

Administrative & Programme Support

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, meetings, and partnerships.

  • Support implementation of community workshops, parent training, and sensitization sessions.

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for programme activities when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Education, Development Studies, or related field.

    Educational Resources
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in community engagement, social development, or programme coordination.

  • Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with parents, youth, and community leaders.

  • Strong stakeholder management and networking ability.

  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with Monitoring & Evaluation practices.

  • Languages: Fluency in English and local languages.
