Job Description


Clinic-24 Medical Centre is a newly established state-of-the-art healthcare facility committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate medical services to individuals and families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Located at the heart of the community of Kapiri, our centre boasts in a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to promoting wellness, preventing illness, and treating a wide range of medical conditions.

At Clinic-24, we prioritize patient-centered care, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and treatment tailored to their unique needs and preferences. Our facility is equipped with advanced medical technology and resources, enabling us to deliver cutting-edge diagnostics, treatments, and interventions to optimize patient outcomes.

The facility is looking for qualified, self-motivated professionals to fill up the following positions:

1. Medical Officer

Qualifications:

  • MBChB or equivalent.
  • Valid practicing license from HPCZ
  • Postgraduate training  in HIV or any other specialization in a specific medical field will be an added advantage.

Minimum work experience of one year.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat patients based on their medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and provide necessary medical interventions.
  • Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated on medical advancements, research, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
  • Provide medical advice and education to patients.
  • Participate in continuous medical education to enhance skills and knowledge.

2. Clinical Officer General (Clinician):

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or r diploma in Clinical Medicine.
  • Valid practicing license from HPCZ.
  • Training in HIV and any other area will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant training in basic life support and emergency care.
  • Traceable 2  years working, including voluntary experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and administer appropriate medical interventions.
  • Provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and medical interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
  • Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in community health outreach programs.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
  • Stay informed about current medical practices and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with medical ethics and standards.

3. Nurses Manager:

Qualifications:

  • Nursing degree with midwifery background.
  • Valid practicing license from NMCZ.
  • Management or leadership training.
  • Minimum of 3 year work experience in nursing administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the nursing staff.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with medical and nursing protocols and standards.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
  • Provide antenatal and postnatal services to expecting and breastfeeding mothers.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Handle client inquiries and ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient well-being.
  • Implement and enforce infection control protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing and midwifery practices.

4. Staff Nurse/Midwife:

Qualifications:

  • Nursing diploma with a background in midwifery for antenatal and postnatal services.
  • Valid practicing  license from NMCZ.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)  will be an advantage.

Minimum of 12 months working experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including antenatal and postnatal services to expecting and breastfeeding mothers.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
  • Conduct physical examinations and assist with diagnostic tests.
  • Educate and support expecting and breastfeeding mothers on healthcare management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Follow infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment.
  • Participate in continuous education to stay updated on nursing and midwifery practices.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Assist in coordinating patient appointments and follow-ups.

5. Laboratory Scientist:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma  in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
  • Minimum of two year work experience in laboratory settings.
  • Valid Practicing license from HPCZ.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the clinic’s laboratory.
  • Oversee and coordinate laboratory testing and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure the proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
  • Train and supervise laboratory staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret and communicate test results.
  • Implement and enforce laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and address technical issues in the laboratory.
  • Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and practices.
  • Maintain documentation of laboratory processes and procedures.

6. Records Coordinator:

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Health Information Management, library management, business administration or a related field.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems.
  • Familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2 year work experience in similar position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient records and information in compliance with the  laws.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Handle patient inquiries and ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Ensure timely and efficient processing of patient information.
  • Implement and maintain systems for record-keeping and data retrieval.
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare staff as needed.
  • Facilitate the transfer of patient records as required.
  • Assist in maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and documentation practices.

7. Hygiene Assistant:

Qualifications:

  • Full Grade 12 certificate
  • Basic training in hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Understanding of infection control procedures.
  • Physical fitness for performing cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the clinic facility.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Sterilize and clean medical equipment and instruments.
  • Dispose of medical waste following proper protocols
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
  • Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to address hygiene-related concerns.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Attend training on hygiene protocols and procedures.
  • Adhere to clinic policies and guidelines related to cleanliness and hygiene.

8. Security Officer:

Qualifications:

  • full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Training in security procedures and emergency response.
  • Previous experience in security roles may be preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the clinic facility.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
  • Patrol the premises to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement if necessary.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and identify potential risks.
  • Implement measures to safeguard patients, staff, and property.
  • Provide assistance during medical emergencies or evacuations.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities.
  • Maintain incident reports and document security-related activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on security protocols.
  • Interact with patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
