Stores Supervisor (01)

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Stores Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and well-controlled stock management system. The role includes overseeing procurement, stock planning, security, and compliance with company policies to minimize risks such as fraud and inventory loss.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reports to: Head of Finance

Interacts with: All staff related to stock & procurement functions

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Implement and maintain an effective stock control system.
• Oversee the procurement process to align with company policies.
• Maintain and update Sage Pastel with accurate stock records
• Ensure proper Bin Locations for all stock and maintain correct records.
• Establish secure and organized storage facilities.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) policy to prevent stock obsolescence.
• Ensure all stock purchases comply with procurement policies and minimize risks of fraud.
• Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Generate and present stock age analysis reports and stock movement reports to management on a monthly basis.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all received goods in Sage Pastel.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement,  or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in stores management, inventory control, or procurement.
• Proficiency in Sage Pastel or similar stock management software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to enforce security measures and stock control policies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:

• Proficient in Sage Evolution and Microsoft Office.
