Store Assistant

Yalelo is looking for a Store Assistant to be responsible for merchandising the sales floor, ensuring stock accuracy and flow, assisting Yalelo customers with available products, and maintaining store housekeeping disciplines.

Location: The role will be primarily based in Mpongwe

The Right Fit candidate will:

• Greet and welcomes customers to the store in a pleasant manner
• Assist in displaying products in an easy-to-locate manner
• Utilize best practice standards in providing customer service in the retail store
• Assist customers in locating desired items.
• Inform customers of shop promotions to encourage purchases.
• Perform regular price checks to identify and correct price discrepancies and remain well informed on any store promotion
• Address and resolves customers’ complaints in a professional manner
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge to provide advice and recommendations as needed
• Assist in receiving, processing, and organizing stock and store consumables deliveries accordingly with First in First Out (FIFO) disciplines.
• Inspect items and products for any damages and spoilage
• Assist stores staff in monitoring stock inventory

The Store Assistant Must Have:

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
• Certificate Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration is an added advantage
• Previous Retail Experience is an added advantage
• Experience in FMCG industry is a plus
