Our client, a leading technology services provider is looking for a well-qualified and experience individual to join their team as a Senior Technical Engineer and take charge of vendor management activities such coordination with ISP, Telecoms and other third-party providers.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting To: Administration Manager
Supervision Of: Self
Interacts With: Management, Clients and Staff

JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform vendor management activities such coordination with ISP, Telecom and other third party providers
Carry out LAN, Surveillance and Server Deployment Projects
Manage the hardware and software inventory of client’s infrastructure including servers, network appliances along with software and License contracts / subscription.
Receive, analyze, attend to and document the reported issues by clients and escalate as appropriate.
Ensure infrastructure uptime of 99%
Monitor networks and security issues, ensures patching of core infrastructure including firmware upgrades, OS patching, anti-virus upgrades and policy implementation.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 3 years plus
Education Level: Diploma Level
Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in computer science/information technology or IT related Field.
Software: TCP/IP networking with WAN/LAN/VLAN/
Equipment: Routers and switches
Knowledge Of: VMware virtualisation, SAN and NAS storage environment, backup methodologies & technologies
Skills To: Extensive troubleshooting experience, proactive attitude and attention to detail, understanding of Physical & Virtual infrastructures
Ability To: Work in a team as a strong team player
