The Position

Urban Bliss Hotel is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurants and bar. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, maintain high service standards, and drive customer satisfaction and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the bar and restaurant outlets.
  • Design menus, manage purchasing, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Identify customer needs and respond proactively to concerns.
  • Lead, train, and develop restaurant staff, including appraisal, and performance management.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food and beverage quality.
  • Handle inventory management, ordering supplies, and stock control efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract customers and improve profitability.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Monitor budgets, sales, and overall financial performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or related field.
  • Hotel and Catering Certificate or Diploma is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a four-star hotel environment.
  • Highly organized, focused, and results-driven.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
