Job Description


Are you passionate about empowering clients to achieve their Financial goals? We’re seeking a dynamic Relationship Officer to deliver personalized, value-driven solutions that make a real difference.  The job holder would be responsible for Origination and will work closely as a team in deepening relationships and driving revenue growth by onboarding new and managing relationships with the  bank clients. They will also be responsible for pre and post account maintenance and managing the risk associated with the portfolio.

They will have an overview on accounts and will be directly responsible for client transactional activities and other credit related activities for the account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Relationship Managers in identifying, prospecting, and targeting potential business opportunities aimed at growing and strengthening the Bank’s portfolio.
  • Facilitate seamless onboarding of new clients by ensuring timely collection, verification, and processing of Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and other regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments including Compliance, Legal, Credit, and Operations to expedite onboarding processes, resolve operational bottlenecks, and ensure efficient turnaround times.
  • Monitor and follow up on the execution and disbursement of approved facilities and transactions, while keeping both clients and Relationship Managers regularly informed on progress and outstanding requirements.
  • Serve as a key contact point for day-to-day client servicing matters in coordination with the Relationship Manager, ensuring high levels of responsiveness, professionalism, and service delivery.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in tracking and monitoring key performance indicators, including revenue contribution, portfolio growth, cross-selling ratios, facility utilization, and client risk ratings.
  • Work closely with the Treasury team to facilitate the execution of foreign exchange transactions, money market placements, and term deposit deals for clients in consultation with Relationship Managers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate client records, portfolio reports, pipeline updates, and other management information required for business monitoring and decision-making.
  • Support Relationship Managers in coordinating client meetings, preparing call reports, proposals, and other relationship management documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures in all client-related activities.
  • Continuously build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to enhance service efficiency and client satisfaction.

Provide administrative and operational support to Relationship Managers to ensure effective management of client portfolios and timely execution of business initiatives

Technical Skills & Competence:

  • Team player.
  • Good judgment.
  • Able to work neatly and accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good numeracy and calculation skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least two (02) years’ experience or Diploma in Banking and Finance or related fields with at least three (03) years’ experience in the Banking Industry.
  • Must have a clear understanding of current Banking Rules and Regulations
  • Experience in Branch operations
