Pharmacy Cashier Wanted!

Location: Mair Pharmacy Ltd.
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Cashier to join our team! You’ll be the first point of contact for our valued customers, helping them with purchases and creating a welcoming experience.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a professional, courteous manner
• Process sales quickly and accurately using our POS system
• Handle cash, credit, and insurance transactions
• Keep the pharmacy tidy and well-stocked
• Responsible to open and Close Pharmacy on time.
• Restock and Price items on the shelves
• Take inventory of store merchandise
• Take part in monthly stock take
• Build merchandise displays
• Hang sale signs and decorations when necessary
• Weekly Banking of Sales and maintaining adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and get additional change.
• Answer customer questions about products or services or direct them to the pharmacist
• Management and reconciliation of Petty Cash
• Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts
• Report issues
• Work as a team to meet store sales goals
• Assist Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technologist with any other duties pertaining to the Pharmacy.
• Submit weekly and monthly management reports
• Maintain confidentiality and follow pharmacy policies.
   

Requirements:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Minimum of Diploma in a sales related field
• At least two years’ work experience as a Retail Cashier or similar role in sales (Pharmacy Cashier is an added advantage)
• Basic PC Knowledge (Computer skills)
• Good at Math skills
• Familiarity with electronic equipment such and POS systems
• Customer Satisfaction oriented
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Able to work long hours/Shifts as it is a twenty four (24hr) store
• Flexible schedule
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Should reside near PHI, Kaunda Square and Off Shantumbu Rd, Chalala area.
