Part-Time Accounting & Administrative Officer – Kitwe, Zambia

📌 Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting & Administrative Officer to support our operations in Kitwe on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, assist with administrative duties, and ensure smooth office operations. This role is ideal for a professional looking for flexible working hours while contributing to a growing organization.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Reconcile bank statements and petty cash accounts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports for management.
  • Support compliance with Zambian tax regulations and statutory obligations.

Administration

  • Manage office correspondence, filing systems, and document control.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and office logistics.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and ensure timely procurement.
  • Provide administrative support to management and staff as required.
  • Handle client inquiries and ensure professional communication.

👤 Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting or administrative roles.
  • Knowledge of Zambian accounting standards and tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

⏰ Working Hours

  • Part-time role (approximately 20–25 hours per week).
  • Flexible schedule, with some in-office presence required in Kitwe.
