URGENTLY LOOKING FOR AN OPERATIONS MANAGER

Location : Lusaka

As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of operations at our plant. You will be responsible for overseeing the activities of employees, ensuring adherence to schedules, and maintaining accurate time sheets. Moreover, we prefer candidates with HR experience who are well-versed in HR laws, particularly those relevant to Zambia.

Key Responsibilities:

– Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees at the plant.
– Ensure that time sheets are updated accurately and on time.
– Monitor attendance and ensure that employees are present and actively engaged in their work.
– Implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency in operations.
– Collaborate with HR to address employee-related issues and ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations in Zambia.
– Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
– Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
– Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
– Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
– Prepare reports and analyze data to track performance and identify trends.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in HR, or a related field.
-Be a member of the ZIHRM
– Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a FMCG manufacturing
– Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations in Zambia.
– Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
– Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.
– Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software applications.
– Certification in HR management or operations management is a plus.
