East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites applications by international experts and nationals of Zambia for a number of positions as part of EWMI’s proposal for the upcoming five-year USAID/Zambia Leading Organizational Capacity and Localization Development (LOCAL) Activity. LOCAL will support the organizational capacity of the current USAID/Zambia local implementing partners to manage, implement, and monitor their programs. The Operational Learning and Logistics Manager is a full-time long-term position based in Zambia. The assignment is expected to start around April 2023.

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and overseeing the provision of organizational development support to civil society organizations, preferably in the context of USAID-funded or other international development programs;

Desired qualifications

• Master’s degree in organizational development, human resource management, business administration, higher education, international development or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in addition to the 7 years’ experience above;
• Experience in Zambia or countries in Africa at similar stages of economic development;
• Proven track record of effective management of organizational development programs and activities with ambitious targets; and
• Substantial experience advancing civil society development in politically sensitive environments.
