Job description:

Job Summary

Promote good nutrition practices at among the workforce and community members in the surrounding communities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
  • Plan and implement workplace and community nutrition programs
  • Working with surrounding Health facilities to conduct nutrition specific activities in the communities; including in schools
  • Provide nutrition counselling to Clients at workplace and community.
  • Identify accurately children with nutrition challenges, manage and refer appropriately.
  • Participate effectively in the production and dissemination of health information materials to promote awareness of good nutrition in the workforce and in the Community.
  • Dissemination of Health information in nutrition among the workforce and Community
  • Monitor and evaluate regularly, the achievements of the nutrition program to measure impact
  • Undertake timely preparation of sectional budget to facilitate acquisition of financial resources
  • Plan and manage effectively, the utilization of financial and material resources
  • Undertake timely, research activities to generate evidence for program improvement
  • Timely writing of reports to facilitate decision making

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum Diploma in Nutrition
  • Valid HPCZ practicing licence
  • Valid Drivers licence (Manual
  • ZAQA Validated qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience in Community nutrition, Nutrition counselling, Mother and Child Health, School Nutrition Health and Health promotion.
