Job description:

Overall Job Purpose:

To assist the Fatigue Management Specialist in driving the agenda for safe production through participation in programs, studies and initiatives, that reduce overall employee fatigue, to a level as low as reasonably practicable.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

To assist in the identification of workplace hazards and personnel behaviours that impact human performance.
To participate in the collection and collation of data sets that inform the development and improvement of Trident’s fatigue management system.
To ensure quality control and assurance in fatigue data through systematic data cleaning and validation.
To implement intervention projects that identify and / or mitigate threats to human performance.
To follow-up on the implementation of recommendations from audits, reviews and studies that speak to human performance.
To participate in the development of a dashboard that enhances the visibility of the fatigue risk at FQM Trident Limited.
To conduct studies, reviews and audits that assess the integration of human factors in operational systems – as a component of Trident’s fitness for work.

Job Specific Competencies:

Data management.
Relationship management.
Scientific writing and critical thinking.
Competency in executing different research methods, using the scientific approach.
Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods of risk assessment.

Experience required to perform in this job:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in work involving data collection and / or analysis.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in any field related to Health, Safety, Ergonomics, Human Factors, or other similar science.
A post-graduate qualification in a scientific field that demonstrates the capacity for complex and systematic thinking.
Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
