Job Description


At Insaka Foundation, we are committed to achieving our mission of providing life skills and digital literacy training to rural youth. As an Management Intern, your role is critical in driving the growth and development of our organization during its transition phase. This job design outlines the key commitments and expectations for the Management Intern position to ensure the successful implementation of duties and responsibilities.

1. Strengthening Insaka Foundation Skills Lab

  • Ensure that the Insaka Skills Lab operates efficiently and provides a conducive learning environment for our beneficiaries (interns).
  • Regularly assess the needs of the Skills Lab and propose improvements to enhance its functionality.
  • Collaborate with the training team to ensure that relevant and impactful training programs are delivered to our interns.

2. Business Development and Partnership Building

  • Actively seek and engage potential partners among local NGOs, CBOs, and cooperatives to establish meaningful collaborations.
  • Respond to partnership inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Build strong relationships with partners and ensure effective communication to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.

3. Marketing and Promotion of Insaka Services

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Insaka Foundation’s services in Luapula Province.
  • Utilize various marketing channels to raise awareness about Insaka Foundation and attract new customers.
  • Collaborate with management to create engaging marketing materials.

4. Financial and Administrative Management

  • Work diligently to maintain accurate financial records and ensure transparency in all financial transactions.
  • Assist in financial planning and budgeting for Insaka Foundation activities.
  • Comply with all financial policies and procedures and report any irregularities promptly.

5. Capacity Building and Organizational Development

  • Identify areas for organizational growth and propose initiatives to enhance staff and beneficiary skills.
  • Actively participate in capacity building programs to improve your own professional development.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts to steer the long-term success of Insaka Foundation.

6. Impact Assessment and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with management to track and assess the impact of our programs and services.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on key performance indicators, program outcomes, and success stories.

7. Professional Conduct

  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and dedication in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Uphold the values and principles of Insaka Foundation at all times.
  • Represent the organization positively in all external engagements.

8. Communication and Collaboration

  • Foster a culture of open communication and teamwork within the organization.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure the successful implementation of cross-functional projects.

9. Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of your role.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and actively engage in professional development opportunities.

10. Adherence to Policies and Guidelines:

  • Familiarize yourself with Insaka Foundation’s policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and guidelines in the execution of your duties.

Qualifications

  • Basic Computer skills, Intermediate user of MS-Office Packages
  • Tertiary qualification would be an added advantage
  • Experience in a similar role would be suitable
  • Age Range of 18 – 30 years
  • Resident of Mansa
