Job Description


Twitti Primary School is currently seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and passionate teacher to join our team. The appointee will report to the Head Teacher and be responsible for teaching and learning in a lower primary class.

Requirements

  • Minimum academic qualification is a Diploma in Primary Education
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Registered with Teaching Council of Zambia with a valid practicing license
  • Computer literate. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have 2 or more years of primary school teaching experience
  • Lives in Lilayi or Chilanga

Key Skills

  • Ability to create lesson plans and a stimulating learning environment
  • Ability to teach reading and handwriting
  • Ability to type and print examinations, use Microsoft Excel for assessment data entry and analysis
  • Knowledge of child development stages and the ability to adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Patience, understanding, and good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, other teachers, and staff
  • Fully conversant with all the demands pertaining to the social, physical and emotional needs of children
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Proven experience in extracurricular activities that will benefit the school timetable and students’ exposure to a wider range of activities outside the classroom.
