JOB VACANCY: JUNIOR IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Location: Kafue, Zambia

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Administrator to support our IT infrastructure and provide technical support to users. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to grow their career in systems and network administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and IT systems
• Provide user support for desktops, laptops, printers, and applications
• Support network infrastructure (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) and basic firewall tasks
• Perform system monitoring, backups, updates, and patching
• Create and manage user accounts and access rights
• Document IT assets, incidents, and procedures
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision

Added Advantage

• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Linux)
• Exposure to virtualization or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
