Purpose of the Position
To lead the end-to-end HR function within the country, partnering with business leaders to drive performance, develop talent and support the achievement of the company’s strategic goals.
Business Formation
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
- Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes across the country.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees.
Payroll and Employee Administration
- Oversee payroll processing and employee administration.
- Manage employee records, contracts, benefits and lifecycle processes.
- Ensure compliance with payroll, labour and statutory requirements.
- Resolve payroll and employee queries.
Industrial / Labour Relations
- Provide expert employee and labour relations support.
- Guide leaders on disciplinary, grievance and labour law matters.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and labour-related negotiations where required.
Training & Development
- Drive leadership, talent and employee development initiatives.
- Manage succession planning and talent pipelines for key positions.
- Coordinate training, e-learning and performance management processes.
- Manage the training budget.
- Identify and develop high-potential employees.
Culture, Engagement & CSI
- Champion company culture and employee engagement.
- Drive communication, wellbeing and recognition initiatives.
- Coordinate wellness and CSI programmes.
- Partner with leaders to create a positive workplace culture.
- Arrange and coordinate annual conventions and large-scale company events.
- Manage culture and event budgets.
Team Management
- Lead, coach and develop the People Support team.
- Build a high-performance, collaborative and engaged team culture.
- Set clear objectives and support team members in achieving business goals.
Reporting & Projects

- Prepare HR reports and support audits and compliance.
- Lead HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc business support.
Job Requirements
Essential
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ HR generalist experience, including 2 years’ management experience.
- Sound knowledge of payroll administration and labour legislation.
- Strong employee relations and recruitment experience.
- English communication skills: Advanced (verbal & written).
- Computer literacy: Intermediate (Google Workspace).
- Willingness to travel extensively within and outside Zambia.
- Zambian citizen.
