Our client, an international logistics company on the Copperbelt (Zambia) is looking for a qualified and experienced Human Resource Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Serve as an advisor to other staff members regarding internal HR policies and other relevant regulations.
• Work with higher management to assess the company’s hiring needs
• Manage all phases of the hiring process and assist with posting job ads, conducting interviews, shortlisting candidates, and onboarding new employees as needed
• Oversee compensation evaluations, benefit audits, and diversity planning
• Organize career development and general HR-related workshops and training programs for all new and current employees and evaluate their effectivenes
• Serve as a mediator in employee conflict and decide on corrective actions when required
• Assist the line managers in the performance appraisal process, such as scheduling meetings and filling the performance appraisal forms
• Support compliance with all relevant legislation

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or any related field
• At least 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a supervisory role
• In-depth knowledge of HR practices, administration and Zambian Labour laws
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Expertise in conflict management and great relationship-building skills
• Ability to take initiative and maintain confidentiality.A member of ZIHRM.
