We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:

POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

CONTRACT: PERMANENT  

LOCATION: KITWE

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will:

  •  Implement of the company’s Human Resources policies and procedures.
  •  Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting adverts, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  •  Maintain accurate staff records across SAP, Payroll, and Attendance systems and personal files.
  •  Support HR initiatives, including events, meetings, surveys, leave, and travel administration.
  •  Oversee payroll-related matters and liaise with service providers to ensure timely payments.
  •  Promote employee wellness and drive health and safety programmes.
  •  Facilitate disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide analytics for continuous improvement.
  • Administer separations (gratuity and pension) timeously.
  •  Superintend canteen operations and welfare provisions.
  •  Raise purchase requisitions and ensure timely payment of HR service providers.
  •  Coordinate HR communications and announcements.
  •  Provide staff support on conditions of service and union management.
  •   Provide sound advice on human resource management.
  •  Generate accurate HR related weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum

requirements:

  •  Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  •  Valid ZIHRM membership.
  •  Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resource management role.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  •  Experience with union management is an added advantage.
  •  Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  •  SAP proficiency and experience in Microsoft Office.
  •  Working knowledge of SHEQ, commercial, and manufacturing systems.
