Position: Intern – HR

Job Summary:

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and driven HR intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The successful candidate, should be able to keep abreast with the latest developments in labour legislation to determine how company HR policies may be affected. Ultimately, the ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
  • Screening potential employees’ resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.
  • Organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
  • Removing job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.
  • Update all records and files for audit purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality on human resource issues.
  • Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.
  • Coordinating new hire orientations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Must be a Full Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management and possess a valid practicing license from Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • An individual with high ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • An extremely well organized and self-directed individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and reading skills in English.
  • Experience working with HR information systems and computer literacy a must.
  • Detail-oriented.
