The Head of Accounts is a senior position in finance and administration Department . S/he ensures the overall supervision of the department, safeguards the company’s physical and financial assets with the aim of maximizing returns .S/he reviews the inventory as well as he accounts records. He further oversees the smooth running of the  department in he absence of he CFO.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise  all the activities of the accounting section
• Supervise the timely reporting of the accounts.
• Regular review of the accounting records .
• Train other staff from other departments on accounting and tax-related issues.
• Preparation, Reviewing, monitoring and controlling of accounts and reports.
• Execute and monitor closure processes.
• Maintenance of external relations
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports /Accounts
• Facilitate internal and external audits in conformity with FIF ,Central Bank and other government agency
• Represent the CFO in tax and other government agencies inspections.
  Perform any other duties as required or requested by the CFO in line with the FINCA Zambia regulations.
