Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.

Lubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.

LCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position:

FRONT END LOADER OPERATOR (X1)

This position reports to the Foreman.

Core Purpose of the Position:

Feeding ore at the SAG Mill stockpile and loading of waste rock at CV 15, CV185 and waste dump.

Key Performance Areas/Indicators (KPA/Is):

• Drain clearing and re-routing of pipes at tailings dam.
• General house keeping around the plant.
• Achieve zero fatality and zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI’s) by adhering to safety standards.
• Ensure that there’s no damage to company equipment by carrying out pre-shift and regular inspection of machinery.
• Ensure that feeding of SAG Mill feeders is done constantly and safely.
• Communicate with CCR Operator regularly on blending of ore at the stockpile.
• Ensure safe loading of ore.
• Cleaning of both solution and storm drains.
• Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Academic Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes:

• A full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Operators Permit.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant practical experience in a Metallurgical plant.
