Finance Manager

Role Overview
The Finance Manager will oversee the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring effective financial management, accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.

• Monitor financial performance, expenditure, profitability, and working capital.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and statutory requirements.

• Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes and support external audits.

• Maintain effective financial controls and identify and mitigate financial risks.

• Manage banking relationships, payments, and cash management activities.

• Provide financial analysis and advice to management to support business decisions.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team.

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, efficiency, and cost management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent.

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and financial controls.

• Excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

All candidates are required to obtain their ZAQA certification from the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)
