Description

Main purpose of the position: To effectively assist with accounting activities. To ensure effective and efficient risk management of the accounting function as a whole and ultimately assist in achieving company profitability and objectives, in line with acceptable corporate governance standards.

Requirements

Key responsibilities:
a. Provide responsible administrative support including conducting analyses of a wide range of departmental activities.
b. Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOP) are followed and implemented.
c. Control and manage all cash sales, cash expenses and the full petty cash function.
d. Reconcile and record all petty cash movements on accounting system. Perform cash book.
e. Report back to Safintra SA Head Office any irregularities, non-compliance and operating issues identified.
f. Assist Safintra SA Head Office and auditors with year-end audit requirements.
g. Controlling and attendance to all sundry purchase orders.
h. Controlling and attendance to all general filing, couriering, posting, faxing, incoming emails, and monthly updates.
i. Attendance to all bookings of travel arrangements required, accommodation requests, car rentals and airport point to point collections.
j. Monitoring of stationary/consumable levels, attendance to and control of all stationary, paper, and consumable items (all sundry items within scope of function).
k. Controlling and safeguarding of company assets within scope of function.
l. Complying with established controls and authority levels in the scope of the function.
m. Attendance to and participation in stock takes.

Qualifications required:
i. Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
ii. Qualifications as an added advantage:
iii. Professional registration:

Experience required:
i. General work experience (years): 2 to 5 years.
ii. Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a financial administrator, or similar.
iii. Industry: Building Solutions such as roofing
