COMPANY BRIEF
EduServe is the trading arm of the Rhodes Park Schools Group and currently operates the School Shops, Tuck-Shop, Cafeteria, and Dining as separate business units at Rhodes Park School, Woodford School and Ashford Academy campuses, all based in Lusaka.
JOB PURPOSE
The position holder will provide various transportation services, necessary for company operations including but not limited to transporting food, materials, equipment and company staff to and from specified locations. The driver should ensure that all duties are carried out in a timely manner.
The position holder will also be at hand to assist with providing administrative support to key staff. He/She will also be responsible for performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support daily operations in an office setting

RESPONSIBILITIES
DRIVING – Ensures provision of reliable and secure driving services and proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, which include:
- Transporting raw materials, goods, food, employees, and equipment to and from loading points and drop-off points.
- Onsite periodical inspections of vehicles either daily or weekly.
- Ensure all vehicles have valid motor insurance, road worthiness certificates, and motor vehicle tax at all times.
- Schedule regular vehicle service appointments and report any issues
- Check motor oils and fuel status on all vehicles to prevent engine seizures daily.
- Test the driving proficiency of any member from any department recommended to drive company vehicles by their line manager.
- Develop vehicle service schedule for travel.
- Undertake thorough preventive maintenance procedures and pre and post-trip motor vehicle Inspection to ensure the vehicle is in good operating condition.
- Issue monthly reports on the status of functional components of motor vehicles such as tires, braking system, vehicle body, etc. to the line manager.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
- Grade 12 Certificate – with at least 5 Credits.
- Valid and Clean Driver’s License – Class CE preferably P, G, PSV
- At least 2 years of work experience in a busy organization
- Enthusiastic, Trustworthy, high initiative, and strong team player
- Good communicator – both written and interpersonal skills
- Good command of Spoken and written English
- Ability to perform a variety of repetitive and routine tasks and duties related to general administration support;
- Good problem solving, and ability to review data, identify and adjust discrepancies.
- Ability to handle a large volume of work possibly under time constraints
- Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks by establishing priorities
