POSITION: DISPATCH ASSISTANT – FULL TIME

Location: Lusaka

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Dispatch Assistant to ensure accurate, timely and secure dispatch of customer orders, while protecting stock integrity and supporting customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Check customer invoices and dispatch orders accurately. Count stock with drivers before loading to confirm it matches invoices.

2. Ensure invoices leave the warehouse signed and stamped. Inspect customer returns for description, condition and quantity, and complete credit note requests with all signatures and supporting documents.

3. Ensure drivers and company representatives have the necessary goods-returned books.

4. Lock stock cages after order checking and load directly from the cage to vehicle to prevent shrinkage.

5. Check supplier deliveries against invoices (quantity, description, expiry dates).

6. Improve dispatch processes and procedures by documenting daily dispatch activities.

7. Follow Health, Safety and Environmental procedures in line with Zambian regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

1. Full Grade 12 certificate, including English.

2. Microsoft Office (Excel) certificate is an advantage.

3. At least 4 years’ experience in FMCG supply chain management.

4. Good IT skills, especially spreadsheets, databases and warehouse systems.

5. Strong analytical and numerical skills.

6. Team player with good communication skills.
