JOB OPPORTUNITIES
In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following Senior Management vacancies:

1. DIRECTOR – INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY-GRADE ZRA02 (1 POSITION)

Reporting directly to the Commissioner – General, the job holder will be responsible for supporting the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient and professional ICT services, systems, infrastructure and cyber security through consultation, agreement and research with internal and external customers as well as other service providers for the purpose of supporting the achievement of the ZRA corporate goals and mission.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing and executing an ICT Strategy and annual budgets that support the core business of the Authority;
• Directing and coordinating the function and activities of the Department by providing guidance and direction on critical operations to ensure consistency, uniformity and unity of purpose on all decisions to achieve set divisional and corporate strategic goals and action plans;
• Developing and delivering an integrated business strategy aligned to the overall strategy of ZRA that reflects best practice and supports performance of the business;
• Implementing Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) that will ensure network and communication connectivity to support external users and ZRA business operations; Implementing and managing appropriate techniques that provide efficient use of existing communication bandwidth;
• Exploiting cutting edge technologies such as optic fibre for the benefit of the Authority;
• Providing leadership and capacity building to ensure that the local technical team is able, where permissible, to develop new functionalities and undertake some changes to the Authority’s core business systems as required by user Divisions/Departments;
• Providing direction and technical advice to the Systems Development team on matters related to the development of various ICT systems;
• Ensuring the integrity of all the ZRA database systems; Undertaking a gap analysis between the functionalities in the respective applications in use by the Authority, usage by the user Departments and implementing remedial measures to ensure optimal utilization of the procured solutions;
• Ensuring that the Authority attains value for money on all contracts and agreements signed through regular review of the performance of each contract with the contractors or institutions that provide services to the Authority; and
• Evaluating and recommending new and more efficient ways of performing quality assurance/controls including coordinating third party software evaluation, purchase, and roll-out. REQUIREMENTS
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or its equivalent;
• University degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunications or related field; • A Master’s degree in a relevant field;
• At least Six (6) years post qualifying relevant work experience at middle management;
• Practical working experience with ICT systems for tax administration;
• Must be a valid member of Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) or any relevant professional bodies.
