GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

Job Title: Direct Sales Agent
Reports to: Relationship Manager – Digital Banking
Indirectly reports to

Location: Lusaka and Kitwe
Direct Reports: N/a

ROLE SUMMARY

To market, sell and raise customer awareness of Ecobank Zambia products and services and providing the appropriate service standards to potential customers.

JOB CONTEXT

To achieve agreed targets in line with the business objectives through pro-active selling of the Digital Xpress Accounts on the Mobile App, cross sell all the bank’s digital services, and provision of excellent service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

New To Business Digital Account Opening

  • Ensure sales targets and budgets are met
  • Canvassing assigned territories to open digital accounts
  • Engage in P2P conversations with potential customers on bank’s digital services
  • Engage potential customers via BTL tactical sales/marketing activities
  • Initial primary focus on digital account opening and anchor products in respective job role, gradually broadening to full range of consumer products Connect & explain
  • Demonstrate Mobile App features to NTB customers
  • Explain value proposition on the capabilities of the Mobile App
  • Monitor competitor activities and report to your direct report promptly for MIS purpose Meet, deep sell & train
  • Meet in person with potential customers and demonstrate
  • Train existing customers on new Mobile App developments
  • Listen and determine further needs
  • Initiate discussions on cross-sell
  • Educate and conduct initial set up for online banking

Activate

  • Pass on referrals/leads of other products to respective specialists
  • Actively participate in training on sales, service and controls
  • Regular feedback from the Team leader on performance and adopt appropriate improvement plans where necessary
  • Participate in weekly, monthly sales performance meeting

Customer Excellence

  • Ensure an excellent customer experience during digital Account opening as well as when offering any other service
  • Actively participate and challenge the status quo, to improve on processes through documented service storming sessions

Controls

  • Ensure the digital Account opening adheres to ZICTA requirements
  • Ensure compliance cheaper liability mobilisation requirement on new digital accounts
  • Ensure sales process is followed to avoid mis selling or misinformation
  • Ensure proper time and resources management

Digital Penetration

  • Have digital conversations with clients and migrate to remote channels upon engagement where necessary
  • Direct and sign-up clients to use digital/ATM channels
  • Adhere to digital innovations and upgrade / update customers as they occur

KEY PERFROMANCE INDICATORS

  • Achievement of Monthly scorecard
  • Number of products sold as per scorecard
  • First time Revenue generating transaction

JOB PROFILE

Experience & Qualifications

  • Grade 12 School Certificate or GCE equivalent
  • Minimum Diploma preferably in Business and Sales related fields
  • Atleast two (2) years of sales industry experience as a Direct Sales Agent (DSA).
