Job Purpose

The Digital Marketing Officer will support all Marketing, Digital, and Communications activities for the Company. Develop and optimise online marketing initiatives to drive customer acquisition. Assist in the execution of inbound marketing strategy, drive social media-based marketing campaigns and maintenance and development of the corporate websites. Provide analysis of current campaigns and feed the information to the Marketing and Executive team. Assists in internal and external communications to maintain brand consistency.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;

  • Develop and manage content-based Social Networks and Blog Sites.
  • Manage and update company social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Website etc.).
  • Supports Marketing, Digital, and Communications activities for the affiliate.
  • Responsible for social media management, website updates, content creation, and graphic design.
  • Assists in internal and external communications to maintain brand consistency.
  • Manage and update company social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Website etc.).
  • Create and schedule posts aligned with marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages promptly.
  • Maintain and update website content regularly; optimize for SEO and user experience.
  • Design marketing materials (banners, posters, brochures, social media graphics).
  • Create engaging written and visual content for digital platforms.
  • Develop promotional videos and multimedia content.
  • Assist in writing press releases, speeches, and internal communication messages.
  • Support event planning and execution (exhibitions, launches, CSR activities).
  • Ensure brand identity compliance across all marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Assist in implementing internal communication strategies (email newsletters, intranet updates, town halls).
  • Support external communication activities including media engagement and press conferences.
  • Track and report social media and website analytics; provide insights for improvement.
  • Monitor competitive activities and industry trends to provide insights.
  • Create engaging written and visual content for digital platforms.
  • Develop promotional videos and multimedia content.
  • Assist in writing press releases, speeches, and internal communication messages.
  • Support event planning and execution (exhibitions, launches, CSR activities).
  • Ensure brand identity compliance across all marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Occasional travel for events and promotional activities.
  • Must ensure compliance with company branding and HSEQ standards.
  • Enhance company image and brand visibility.
  • Ensure marketing and communication activities are delivered within approved budgets.
  • Facilitate coverage of company events by media.
  • Setting up and optimizing company pages within each social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube Instagram i.e.)
  • Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website and Creating and optimising targeted and custom landing pages and micro-sites;
  • Work with an agency to design print materials brochures, flyers, branded t-shirts, logos, signposts, and all other marketing tools.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Manager and CEO to design effective and tailor-made/seasonal Social Media advertising campaigns

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related field.
  • Must have 2–3 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Basic knowledge of website management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in internal and external communications is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with ATL and BTL marketing concepts.
  • Must be a member of ZIM
