Heartlands Best (Zambia) is expanding its agricultural operations and invites applications from experienced, results-driven professionals to fill the following key management roles:

1. DAIRY MANAGER

We are seeking a disciplined and highly skilled Dairy Manager to lead herd performance and oversee value-added dairy processing. This role demands strong systems thinking, absolute hygiene discipline, and proven leadership ability.

Key Requirements

✔ 3–5 years’ proven experience managing a dairy herd

✔ Strong knowledge of:

Herd health and nutrition

Vaccination and medication programs

Parasite control and dipping programs

Mastitis prevention and control

✔ Experience working with automated milking systems

✔ Strong administrative, record-keeping and reporting skills

✔ Proven leadership of teams of approximately 8 staff

✔ Experience overseeing dairy processing and handling including:

Fresh milk

Yoghurt, mabisi, cream and related products

Cold storage, shelf-life management, packaging and distribution

Added Advantage:

✔ Artificial insemination experience

2. BROILER PRODUCTION MANAGER

📍 Ebenezer Agricultural Training Centre – Livingstone

We are recruiting a hands-on, performance-driven Broiler Production Manager with verifiable success in open-sided broiler house systems. This role is for a proven operator who consistently delivers results.

Key Requirements

✔ 3–5 years’ practical experience in broiler production

✔ Direct experience managing open-sided broiler houses

✔ Proven placements of 5,000–10,000 birds per cycle

✔ Demonstrated achievement of:

Competitive PEF

Target FCR

Expected market weights and daily gains

✔ Strong stockmanship and bird observation skills

✔ Hands-on leadership and staff supervision

✔ Verifiable references linked to production performance
