Content Specialist (Zambia)

# What we’re looking for 👀

We are on the lookout for a content specialist based in Zambia to take charge of content strategy projects and all aspects of storytelling from inception to completion. Fluency in English is mandatory. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in shaping brands and constructing verbal identities. We seek individuals who are exceptionally articulate, excel in autonomous work environments, can forge unconventional connections, and distill intricate thoughts into lucid ideas.

# Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic initiatives encompassing content strategy, brand positioning, naming, communication strategy, and brand implementation.
  • Create tone of voice development, messaging frameworks, and execute copywriting.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to discern and comprehend business needs for articulating optimal strategic solutions.
  • Plan and lead stakeholder interviews, contributing to desk research on customer, cultural, and competitive analysis.
  • Provide solutions to clients grounded in design, business and consumer insights, cultural codes, and a balance between intuition and intellect.
  • Gather insights and articulate information clearly.
  • Assist in creative ideation and narrative construction for brand communication projects, ensuring alignment with strategy.
  • Partner with designers, creative directors, strategists, project managers, and other stakeholders to fortify conceptual and strategic brand foundations and identity systems.
  • Aid in transforming insights and strategies into pertinent and user-friendly brand guidelines.
  • Craft high-quality presentations showcasing work with a strong ability to communicate the creative process, thoughts, ideas, and connection to the brief.
  • Balance, estimate accurately, and manage time across multiple projects, adhering to internal and external deadlines and timelines for assigned project phases.
  • Report to our Strategy Director.

# Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience (or proven experience launching brands) in a strategy role in-house or at an agency.
  • Robust portfolio demonstrating astute insights and innovative ideas across various industries.
  • Proficient lateral thinking and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in constructing and executing brand identities.
  • Proficient in both business and creative languages.
  • Self-starter mentality, thriving in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership and clients.
  • Hands-on and active team player, approaching collaboration with a dedication to craft.
  • Actively stay informed on emerging trends and reports relevant across diverse clients and industries.
  • Positive attitude, open to learning and feedback.
  • Excitement to participate and contribute to processes and projects.
  • Curious, vocal, and actively engaged in conversations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
