Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in strategic sourcing and procurement management? Our client is seeking a Commercial and Procurement Coordinator to lead our commercial operations. As the central point of contact for all procurement activities, you will secure quality goods and services at optimized costs while upholding the company’s ethics.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set up a robust procurement function and drive local procurement opportunities
  • Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to senior management
  • Analyze and calculate procurement costs, developing cost reduction strategies
  • Research and evaluate prospective suppliers, conducting market research and creating cost estimates
  • Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
  • Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships
  • Oversee and supervise all purchasing activities
  • Develop procurement policy and ensure end-user departments follow procurement procedures
  • Prepare plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies
  • Follow and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures
  • Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased
  • Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records
  • Maintain and update supplier information
  • Maintain good supplier relations and negotiate contracts
  • Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports
  • Ensure timely payment of suppliers by Finance
  • Seek local content enhancement opportunities through supplier development programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or related field
  • Master’s degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management advantageous
  • At least 5 years’ work experience in commercial/procurement field
  • Proficiency in sourcing software such as Fraxion Spend Management, SAP Ariba, and Promena e-Sourcing
  • Strong leadership skills, Supplier Development Program experience highly desirable
  • Excellent understanding of contracts and international procurement processes
  • Experience setting up procurement functions
  • Understanding of warehousing, accounting, and audit procedures
  • Member of recognized purchasing & supply bodies
  • Vendor management and tender process running skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Attention to detail and highest standards of ethics
