ASSISTANT INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER (01) – ECH5

Job Summary

Reporting to the Information Security Officer, the job holder will provide support in ensuring appropriate controls are in place for the security of information assets. He/she will safeguard information by ensuring that security risks are identified, assessed, and accurately reported. Additionally, in conjunction with the Supervisor, the AISO has the responsibility of ensuring procedures and activities comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Key Attributes & Skills

• Must be skilled in System Administration covering but not limited to the following: Unix/Linux, File Integrity Monitoring (Alien Vault or similar) Windows Active Directory, Patch Management (WSUS or similar), Endpoint Protection (Symantec, MalwareBytes or similar), Systems Monitoring (Nagios, Wireshark, SolarWinds tools).
• Must have solid knowledge of Network Security covering among others; Firewall Administration (CISCO ASA), Network Protocols, Routers, and Switches, VPN (Site to Site), and Load Balancers (Citrix).
• Must demonstrate ability to work under pressure and be result oriented.
• Should possess excellent interpersonal & leadership skills and a team player.
• Innovative solution provider, capable of articulating new ideas and projecting possible changes in the security space.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate with at least a credit in Mathematics and any other subject.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• At least Three (03) Years’ relevant professional experience, covering network devices such as Firewalls, IPS/IDS, and VPNs.
