Job Description

• JOB PURPOSETo assist the project Manager by ensuring the mineral processing unit and all supporting elements are in good working order and serviced regularly to maintain continuous production throughout the project duration.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Conduct daily inspection for the mineral processing unit
  Generate and implement processing unit maintenance schedule.
  Investigate, diagnose, and repair processing unit when and as required.
  Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and report hazards or incidents immediately.
  Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and operational procedures.
  Identify critical production stoper spare parts/consumables and ensure they are procured and stocked onsite.
  Consult manufacturers’ manuals to determine interval of replacement on some units and propose changes to maintenance procedures if any.
  Ensure timely reporting of defects/breakdowns and repair on the processing unit.
  Carry out any other activities as assigned by the Supervisor.
  Must be willing to work in shifts, including weekends if necessary.

Job Requirements

Education Minimum requirement

Grade 12 Certificate

Craft/Technician Certificate in Plant Fitting/Mechanical Engineering from recognized institution.

Must be a member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ / ERB)

Must at least possess working experience in a similar role of not less than 2 years.

Skills and competencies

Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
Good communication skills.
Physically fit to handle the demands of the job.
Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
Good team player and able to coordinate work with minimum supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
Experience in writing reports
Working Environment

Job holder exposed to project site working environment in remote locations. The job holder will be stationed at the Rufunsa mining site or any assigned site.
