Job Purpose

To carry out Auto electrical maintenance, repairs and fitting work to motorise and non-  motorised mobile equipment in order to restore them to good working condition.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess work to be done and material required to complete tasks on receipt of job cards and instructions from superintendent.
• Diagnoses nature and causes of faults, malfunction, defects and repairs and seeks guidance from supervisor if the problem is above the job holder’s level of competence and training in order to determine most appropriate method of resolving problems.
• Undertakes routine planned maintenance and servicing of mobile equipment as per given schedule and instructions to ensure minimum disruption to operations whilst safeguarding and prolonging equipment’s life.
• Completes daily job cards stating work done, materials and manpower resources used and time taken. Submits job cards to the supervisor for approval and inspection of the works.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Craft certificate in Automotive Electrical or its equivalent
2. Two (2) years relevant work experience
3. Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
