Job Description


The successful candidate will manage the administration of the Ireland–African Fellowship Programme across the full annual implementation cycle.

The candidate will be expected to ensure that all required steps are followed, including supporting public communications and events to promote the programme, maintaining records for applications and alumni contacts, reviewing applications and documents, handling applicant queries and troubleshooting issues, and organising programme logistics.

The role will also involve building and maintaining strong relationships with the programme’s alumni by coordinating agreed collaboration initiatives and supporting broader Embassy engagement aligned with the Mission’s education and public diplomacy priorities.

In addition, the Administration Officer ( Education) will support future Embassy education projects through administration, communications, and event management; provide wider administrative support to other areas of the Embassy, including processing payment requests through the Embassy’s financial systems; and undertake any other duties assigned by the Line Manager, Head of Administration, or Ambassador as required.
