Job Description
Introduction…
A vacancy exists for a Stores Assistant based in Ndola Zambia, reporting to the Stores Supervisor. In this role you will be required to ensure that products are efficiently and effectively received, stored and issued out in a safe and cost-effective manner.
This role also requires good background in working in a stores or warehouse department.
Key Accountabilities…
- Receiving and verifying the quality and quantity of new shipments.
- Issuing out stock items to internal and external clients.
- Creating of Purchasing Requisitions in SAP system.
- Assist in managing stock counts.
- Delivering exceptional sales service for improved customer satisfaction.
- Interacting with customers and identifying their needs and preferences.
- Maintaining the highest level of visual merchandising and stores conditions.
- Enforcing in store security and health and safety procedures and regulations.
Skills Required…
- Good knowledge of stores management
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications / Experience
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or CIPS, or equivalent.
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Membership of CIPS or ZIPS is required.
