Welder & Fabricator Job Summary
Wanu General Dealers is a legally established metal work, carpentry, construction and real estate business. The company provides cost effective housing solutions to clients all under one roof through a highly experienced and competent team.
We are looking for an enegitic, self-motivated, experienced Welder & Fabricator to join our company as a Welder & Fabricator. As part of Wanu General Dealers team, you construct and manufacture metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean polished welds. You follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes. You are responsible for the quality of your output, so you must be able to perform simple tests to ensure weld quality and tolerance.

REPORTS TO – Welding and Metal Fabrication Supervisor
BRANCH: Libuyu Workshop, Livingstone
Welder Fabricator Duties and Responsibilities
Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output
Inspect all welding works to ensure cracks welded are dependent on depth.
General welding and fabrication.
Ensure quality of work is inspected before dispatching.
Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds
Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
Qualifications
A Trade certificate/Diploma/equivalent experience in metal fabrication or any related field will be an added advantage.
Must be able to do vehicle and general metal fabrication
Must be able to use AutoCad and/or other mechanical softwares
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar field (Preferably workshop experience)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
