ZAMBIA NATIONAL BUILDING SOCIETY (ZNBS)

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Zambia National Building Society seeks to externally recruit a qualified, skilled, motivated, and energetic individual to fill the Network Engineer position under the ICT Directorate.

NETWORK ENGINEER

Grade: ZNBS 6

Job Purpose

To manage ZNBS computer network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members.
    • Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant Technologies, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
    • Analyse performance information for audit and maintenance purposes so that network services and peripherals are efficiently and cost effectively provided.
    • Provide day to day support of the business systems to ensure effective IT Security on Networks.
    • Establish a sound IT Network Infrastructure management approach.
    • Build resilience in the Network.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade Twelve (12) certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Certification in CCNA, A+, Network+, Network Certified, MCSA, TOGAF, ITILv4, COBIT 5 or Security+.
  • Three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
  • ICTAZ Membership.
