The Manager Purchases and Contributions will be responsible and accountable for the administration of pension contributions and Collective Investment Scheme purchases. The Manager will support the Head of Legal, Administration, and Governance. The Manager will be responsible for attending Board of Trustees meetings and shall prepare Trustees report, provide member and employer education services, and ensure high quality service delivery to clients.

 

Principle accountabilities

  • Ensure contributions and purchases are accurately uploaded and purchases within regulatory and company turnaround times.
  • Ensure that the contributions accounts are effectively tracked and monitored.
  • Ensure member and investor complaints and queries are attended to within set Service Level Agreements.
  • Supervision and management of staff, processes, systems, workflows, and project deliverables.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory and management reporting.
  • Analysis of retail and corporate funds administration trends and industry developments.
  • Ensure maintenance of relevant pension scheme, purchases and member documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.
  • Ensure regulatory inspections, internal and external audits are prepared for and executed within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable corporate Governance Guidelines.

Qualifications and experience

  • First degree in Business, Social Security, or pensions.
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • MBA or Master’s in Social Security is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Funds Administration.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in supervisory position.
  • Good understanding of pensions scheme Trustee reporting.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word skills.
